NELA HEALTHCARE ALLIANCE TO HOST NURSING SYMPOSIUM
On May 8th and May 9th, The NELA Healthcare Alliance will host a no cost Nursing Symposium to recognize the nurses of our region and give them an opportunity to share, learn, and provide the best care in our communities.
Where: Monroe, Louisiana
The NELA Healthcare Alliance represents nearly forty diverse healthcare organizations in Northeast Louisiana. The alliance is comprised of hospitals, long term care facilities, skilled nursing facilities, home health organizations and others who together, in addition to providing critical needed healthcare to community members, provide nearly twenty percent of all jobs in our region. These healthcare organizations have come together in an ongoing network (The Northeast Louisiana Healthcare Alliance) to tackle the most pressing healthcare issues of this region together, including workforce issues, networking opportunities, and pressing policy topics that warrant a collective action.
The NELA Healthcare Alliance is hosting the first ever Nursing Symposium on May 8th and 9th at Louisiana Delta Community College-Monroe Campus from 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM. The symposium will consist of two days of peer-to-peer networking and sharing of best practices...designed for nurses by nurses. Topics to be covered are Wound Care, Pic Lines, Core Measures & Quality Reporting, Patient Satisfaction, Delegation, and Pre-authorizations & Reimbursements. Lunch will be provided in order to make the most of everyone’s time. Giveaway prizes will also be utilized to show appreciation to the hard working nurses of northeast Louisiana.
The Nursing Symposium will offer the same training agenda for both days so nurses can attend on the day that works best for their schedule.
