Mitchell recognized at La. Labor Summit
Workforce Development Board 83 Executive Director, Terri Mitchell, was recognized as a Workforce Champion at the Louisiana Labor Summit on March 22. Mitchell is leading the charge in sector partnerships in Northeast Louisiana.
The Workforce Development Board 83’s work convening the Northeast Louisiana Healthcare Alliance is not only impactful but recognized as a best practice at the local, state, and national level.
Mitchell piloted the first Next Generation Sector Partnership in the state of Louisiana in 2016.
The NELA Healthcare Alliance is a healthcare sector partnership bringing healthcare partners to a shared table with workforce, economic development, and education listening and filling the gaps as they arise. The NELA Healthcare Alliance is going strong and accumulating a lengthy list of achievements. Mitchell was recognized as a Workforce Champion for her hard work in developing and maintaining this valued partnership in northeast Louisiana and her work for the betterment of the communities Workforce Development Board 83 serves.
