HPOG is a study funded by the federal government which is being conducted to determine how these training opportunities help people improve their skills and find better jobs.  During the study, all new eligible applicants will be selected by lottery to participate in these training opportunities.  Not all eligible applicants will be selected to participate in these opportunities.

WHAT SERVICES DOES PHOCAS PROVIDE?

Services provided may include: assistance with tuition, books, uniforms and supplies, daycare, transportation, tutoring, testing fees, graduation fees, on-the-job training, intense case management, job-placement assistance and more.  These services have assisted many to deal with barriers that could otherwise have prevented their completion. By taking full advantage of all program aspects, hundreds have been able to successfully attain a career in the healthcare sector and have been provided an opportunity for economic independence and for a better life for themselves and their children — all while helping to strengthen our Louisiana healthcare workforce!
