Scholarship applications available at BCSC

The Workforce Investment Board SDA-82/83 Inc. is currently offering applications for 2015 scholarships at the Morehouse Business and Careers Solutions Center at 250 Holt Street in Bastrop.

Every year the board awards the Workforce Investment Act scholarships to students with a desire to work in certain demand occupations, or targeted sectors, including finance and insurance, healthcare and social assistance, accommodations and food services and manufacturing and construction (state-wide).

According to provided information, applications for this year's scholarships are available at the local BCSC, but require multiple steps to complete. After the application is picked up, the packet needs to be returned as soon as possible for administrators to ensure proper completion. The latest a packet can be returned is two weeks prior to the due date for fees for the college semester or term.
